White Nights Conference, 26 – 27 June in Saint Petersburg

First time for Gamedonia team to Russian soil, and it won’t be the last! It was great meeting you all in Saint Petersburg. Diana represented the team in the massive amount of one-on-one sessions and friendly chats in the networking area… and the parties that followed. The conference was a good opportunity to showcase the power of our platform to game developers we didn’t know already. It feels awesome to be able to present solutions that actually solve people’s problems. We tend to get many questions about how our database is structured, and hopefully Gamedonia is able to offer a flexible one that adapts to however you’re already building your games. The Winter Nights Mobile Games Conference is an international mobile game development and marketing conference. Industry-leading companies like King, Supercell, Rovio, Wooga, Big Fish, DeNA, and many others have already attended. It was a great opportunity meeting you all there! Our team next stop is Game Connection Europe, taking place in Paris 28 – 30 October.   How can Gamedonia’s game backend modules help you? From adding new play features to launching games on the cloud, Gamedonia carries the complete solution for mobile developers. The result? Less code, more unity, and all the power any studio needs to build games at a professional...

Mobile World Congress, 2 – 5 March 2015

Visiting MWC is always an eye opener, and 2015 edition wasn’t any different. This year we learned 5 important lessons that will set the future for mobile development. Let’s break them down!   Modular mobiles are closer than you think. Smartphone maker Yezz showed off a prototype of Google’s Project Ara modular phone, which can fit up to 11 components onto its frame. They weren’t the only ones presenting modular prototypes, so expect them to become a reality soon.   A fresh operating system for tablets. The Finnish startup Jolla, who crowdfunded its tablet last year presented a gestures-only operating system called Sailfish OS. They won the Best Tablet award at MWC.   Smart-watches go bling. Perhaps for the first time, smart watches looked like real watches you’d actually wear. The LG and Huawei were applauded for their looks, not just their features.   5G is really for businesses, not people. If you thought that the goal of 5G was to let you watch video streams of kitten faster, think again. This expensive infrastructure can only be justified to connect everyday hardware, such as your kitchen appliances or car.   Virtual reality will be your new reality. The first time I got into one of the Oculus Rift headset the sensation of being somewhere else was immediate. You can swing the head around in every direction to see the video image stretches without limits.   How can Gamedonia’s game backend modules help you?  From adding new play features to launching games on the cloud, Gamedonia carries the complete solution for mobile developers. The result? Less code, more unity, and...
